A homeless Uzbek man received assistance returning from Yekaterinburg to Tashkent.

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Yekaterinburg assisted its citizen, who found himself in a desperate situation, in returning to his homeland. The man had spent several nights on the streets.

According to Dunyo news agency, a local resident contacted the diplomatic mission, expressing her need for assistance for a native of the Navoi region.

Consulate staff identified the man, contacted his family, and arranged for his return. He successfully arrived in Tashkent by air from Yekaterinburg.

Earlier, Aslam Akbarov, Consul General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk, visited his compatriot, who is undergoing treatment in the neurosurgical department of the Kuzbass Clinical Center for Miners' Health in Leninsk-Kuznetsky. The woman suffered serious injuries as a result of a fall from a height, including damage to four vertebrae, ribs, a foot, and a knee.
