On September 2–8, Museums Week is being held in Uzbekistan. During this period, entry to 114 state museums is free.

The traditional Museums Week is being held in Uzbekistan from September 2 to 8. Within the framework of this event, residents of the country can enter 114 state museums free of charge. This was announced by the Cultural Heritage Agency.
Free admission applies to all state museums within the agency's system, including museum-reserves and house-museums.
This campaign is intended for citizens of Uzbekistan and does not apply to foreign tourists.
The Cultural Heritage Agency noted that Museums Week provides an opportunity to get acquainted with the country's history, art, and national heritage, as well as to learn more about unique exhibits and ancient monuments.
"Museums Week is an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the history, art, and national heritage of our country, as well as to obtain a lot of new information about unique exhibits and ancient monuments," the agency stated.
In addition, state museums in Uzbekistan can also be visited free of charge on the first Sunday of every month.
