A copy of "Kulliyoti Navoiy" was handed over to the Center of Islamic Civilization
On September 24, within the framework of the "Uzbekistan–Turkey Culture and Art Meetings — Turkish Cinema Days" held in Tashkent, the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov and the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Mehmet Nuri Ersoy visited the Center of Islamic Civilization.
The ministers familiarized themselves with the center's exposition and viewed unique exhibits related to the history and culture of the Islamic world. They were provided with information about the samples of historical and cultural heritage preserved in the center and their scientific and educational significance.
During the visit, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy presented a facsimile copy of the work "Kulliyoti Navoiy" to the Center of Islamic Civilization.
"Kulliyoti Navoiy" is a rare manuscript collection containing various genres of Alisher Navoiy's works, which includes 26 works by Alisher Navoiy.
The original copy of the work is kept in the library of the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. The presented facsimile copy was added to the collection of cultural heritage samples preserved in the center's fund.
Additionally, during the meeting, issues of developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey in the field of culture and art, implementing joint projects, and expanding relations between the cultural institutions of the two countries were discussed.
