A Chinese electric train will run between Khiva and Bukhara

The train route between Urgench airport and Khiva has been extended to Kagan (Bukhara-1 station). Once a week, the service will run to Tashkent. CR200J electric trains from China's CRRC Dalian will operate on the line.

A Chinese electric train will begin operating between Khiva and Bukhara

Starting September 9, the CR200J electric train from China's CRRC Dalian will begin operating between Khiva and Bukhara, Uzbekistan Railways (O'zbekiston Temir Yo'llari) announced.

This is the same train that has been running between Urgench Airport and Khiva since the beginning of September. Now, the route is being extended to the Bukhara-1 station, located in Kagan. The trains will run six days a week.

Starting September 14, the train will run to Tashkent once a week.

In connection with the launch of the new train, changes are being made to the schedule of the following trains:

As a reminder, the CR200J train consists of six climate-controlled carriages and is designed for 415 economy-class passengers. Its maximum speed is 160 km/h.

Uzbekistan currently has two such electric trains. The launch of the second trainset between Tashkent and Andijan is expected in the near future.
