A chairman has been appointed to the Defense Industry Committee

A new head has been appointed to the Defense Industry Committee

Akmal Roziqulovich Jumanazarov has been appointed as the Chairman of the Defense Industry Committee under the Cabinet of Ministers.

In connection with this, he has been relieved of his post as Director of the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation.

For reference, the Defense Industry Committee previously held the status of an agency and operated under the Ministry of Defense. Official information regarding the transfer of this structure to the government has not yet been announced.

As a reminder, Akmal Jumanazarov was appointed Director of the Technical Regulation Agency in February 2024.

Prior to that, he served as the Deputy Minister of Energy for Electricity and Coal Industry Issues.
