According to the National Statistics Committee, as of October 1, 2026, 66 thousand industrial enterprises were operating in Uzbekistan.
By main types of economic activity, food products manufacturing leads with 13.3 thousand enterprises. This accounts for 20.2 percent of total industrial enterprises.
9.2 thousand enterprises are working in the direction of manufacturing other non-metallic mineral products. Their share makes up 13.9 percent.
6.8 thousand enterprises (10.3 percent) were recorded in wearing apparel manufacturing, and 5.4 thousand enterprises (8.2 percent) in the manufacture of fabricated metal products.
4.5 thousand enterprises (6.9 percent) are operating in the field of furniture manufacturing, 4 thousand (6.1 percent) in textile products manufacturing, and 3 thousand (4.6 percent) in the manufacture of rubber and plastics products.
