Six people were killed in Kharkiv as a result of a drone attack. According to DW, the incident occurred on October 19, at a time when families with children were relaxing in a park. Head of the Kharkiv Regional Administration Oleg Sinegubov stated that the strike was carried out using a Shahed-type drone.

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the drone struck a park next to an ordinary cafe.

Among those killed was a girl named Angelina, who was just over a year old. According to Zelenskyy's information, she was born in August 2025. The girl's mother, Inna, died in the hospital.

Following the attack, Zelenskyy urged partner nations to strengthen Ukraine's air defense capabilities. He stressed the need for additional air defense assets to protect civilian lives.

Additionally, the President of Ukraine urged the US and European countries not to lift sanctions against Russia, to continue supporting Kyiv, and to bring Washington's new sanctions against Moscow into force.

"We ask that every effort be made to establish peace and guarantee security. Ukraine wants peace," Zelenskyy said.
