30 modern Zhongtong buses were brought to Khorezm from China. They were purchased by Bunyod Passenger Transport LLC. This brings the number of new buses brought to the region since the beginning of the year to 90. The buses will be operated on internal routes in the city of Urgench.

The public transport fleet of the city of Urgench has been enriched with 30 new buses imported from China. The Ministry of Transport reported this.
In order to improve the public transport system in the Khorezm region, improve the quality of transport services provided to the population, and renew the fleet with modern buses, 30 Zhongtong buses were imported from China. These buses were purchased by Bunyod Passenger Transport LLC. As a result, the total number of new buses imported to the region since the beginning of the year has reached 90.
In the near future, it is planned to deploy these modern buses on internal routes in the city of Urgench on a gross contract basis. It is expected that the introduction of new buses to routes will serve to provide passengers with more convenient, safe and high-quality transport services, as well as increase the efficiency of the public transport system.
For information, Zhongtong buses are manufactured by Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., Ltd., a company located in the Shandong province of China.
Earlier, 10 hybrid trolleybuses manufactured by the Chinese company Yutong were also delivered to the Khorezm region. They will operate on the route connecting the Urgench International Airport, Urgench and Khiva railway stations. This will reduce the travel time from 25 minutes to 12 minutes.
It should be noted that in the Khorezm region, the payment of public transport fares is being gradually transferred to a fully electronic form. In the first stage, from July 1, a cashless payment system was introduced on bus routes SHI-4, SHI-5, SHI-7, SHI-13, SHI-18, SHI-19 and SHI-28, as well as on the trolleybus route T1 "Urgench city - Khiva city". In the second stage, this procedure will be introduced on the remaining bus and trolleybus routes after the gross contracts are formalized. At the same time, the fare was set at 3,000 soums.
