Another tragic incident involving human casualties has occurred at the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company.
It is reported that on September 10, a dump truck tire exploded at the Pistali mine, which is part of the "Qizilqum" mine administration of NMMC. As a result of the incident, two workers were killed. Additionally, several other people sustained injuries of varying severity.
NMMC has not yet issued an official statement regarding the situation.
This is the second incident involving human casualties at the company in the last 2 months: on July 21, a dump truck ran over and crushed a passenger car at the Muruntov mine, resulting in the death of 2 workers at the scene.
The first blasting operations at the Pistali mine, located in the Nurota district, were carried out in 2023.
At the mine, rock mass is mainly transported by Komatsu dump trucks with a carrying capacity of 55 and 90 tons.
