Javokhir Sindarov becomes youngest FIDE World Cup ChampionNineteen-year-old Uzbek grandmaster Javokhir Sindarov won the Chess World Cup in India, becoming the youngest champion in the tournament’s history. In the final match, he defeated China’s Wei Yi. Sindarov is also the first player from Uzbekistan to qualify for the Candidates Tournament.
