The Indian low-cost airline IndiGo is opening a second route to Tashkent: starting from 1 August 2025, it will operate regular flights on the Mumbai – Tashkent – Mumbai route. Flights will be conducted four times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays — using Airbus A320 aircraft.

The Tashkent city administration will allocate 81.5 billion soums for projects on Yangi Uzbekistan Street. This decision was made by the city’s hokim (mayor), Shavkat Umurzakov, on 4 June.

From 2018 to 2022, Uzbekistan implemented a large-scale program to expand its preschool education system, which, according to a new study, has become a significant factor in increasing women’s employment.
