10-year-old girl dies days after collision in which mother was killed
A car collided with a truck on the R162 in Shercock, County Cavan, after 16:30 local time on Friday.
A 10-year-old girl has passed away in the hospital, several days after a car accident in the Republic of Ireland that also claimed the life of her mother.
The incident, involving a car and a flatbed van, occurred on Friday after 4:30 PM local time on the R162 at Corclare, Shercock in County Cavan.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
An Garda Síochána (Irish police) have now verified that the young girl, who was a passenger in the car, died on Tuesday afternoon at Temple Street Hospital.
Authorities are reiterating their call for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
