Uzbekistan to Distribute Presidential Gifts to First-Graders
More than 795,000 first-grade pupils in Uzbekistan will receive Presidential Gift school supply kits, with deliveries to schools scheduled by 25 August 2026.

Uzbekistan's Ministry of Preschool and School Education has initiated the distribution of "Presidential Gift" school supply packages to children slated to begin their first year of school in 2026.
The ministry announced that these kits are scheduled to reach all regions of the nation by August 15, 2026. Subsequently, they will be disseminated to individual schools by August 25, 2026, with quantities determined by the number of registered first-grade students.
This year, over 795,000 children are anticipated to enroll in first grade. As of August 5, 2026, approximately 680,000 prospective first-graders had already completed their enrollment, accounting for 85% of the projected student intake.
Each "Presidential Gift" package comprises a dozen distinct school items: a backpack, twelve 12-page exercise books, a pen, two pencils, a set of twelve colored pencils, colored paper, modeling clay, a drawing pad, two erasers, a set of watercolor paints, glue, and a pencil case.
The ministry confirmed that these kits will be presented to students following formal school assemblies.
Furthermore, "Presidential Gifts" will be extended to students attending private educational institutions, as well as those enrolled in schools managed by other governmental ministries and agencies.
