Uzbekistan and Türkiye Explore Pharmaceutical Collaboration

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – Officials from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan recently met with representatives of the Turkish pharmaceutical firm, Kiperin İlaç Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi, to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation within the pharmaceutical industry.

The meeting saw the participation of Bahrom Makhmatrayemov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, along with Alisher Shaikhov, an adviser to the Chairman. Tolga Pektaş, the Chief Executive Officer of the Turkish company, was also in attendance.

Key topics of discussion included bolstering trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, initiating collaborative ventures in the pharmaceutical sector, expanding investment partnerships, increasing both export and import activities, and fostering direct connections between the business communities of both nations.

The Turkish delegation received an overview of Uzbekistan's investment landscape, including prospects for localizing production, current governmental support for investors, available tax and customs incentives, and the operational framework for export and import activities.

The discussions concluded with an agreement between both parties to continue their collaborative efforts on tangible pharmaceutical projects, facilitate investment and technology transfer, and reinforce business alliances between entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
