Uzbekistan presents a project for a system that shoots down drones using a laser

It eliminates a target in less than 2 seconds at a distance of over 1,000 meters via laser beam.

A project for a system designed to shoot down unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) using a laser was demonstrated in Uzbekistan.

As part of the "Future Engineers" competition, young inventor-engineer Ikromjon Moydinjonov presented a project for an anti-UAV system called ARGUS-SYS.

This innovative development aims to quickly and effectively neutralize drones. The system automatically detects and targets drones using the YOLOv8 artificial intelligence algorithm and optical transmitters.

It can destroy a target at a distance of more than 1,000 meters in less than 2 seconds using a 500-watt (405 nm) laser beam.

Recall that earlier it was reported that a drone interceptor device had been created in Uzbekistan.
