On July 23, 2026, Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister, Bakhtiyor Saidov, convened with Wang Yi, who holds the positions of Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs for the People's Republic of China.
During their discussions, the two sides explored a broad spectrum of bilateral cooperation matters. This included interaction within the political, trade and economic, investment, and high-technology spheres, as well as other crucial areas.
Significant attention was dedicated to the timely and thorough implementation of agreements previously reached at the highest levels. The ministers additionally examined issues related to enhancing the effectiveness of economic diplomacy.
Moreover, an exchange of views occurred on pressing topics concerning cooperation within the frameworks of the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the "Central Asia – China" format, and other multilateral mechanisms.
Following the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their readiness to unite efforts to further solidify the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China.
