Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A business forum on "Further expansion of cooperation between the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Republic of Uzbekistan" was held in Ufa on August 5.
More than 100 Uzbek enterprises operating in the light, food, chemical, automotive, furniture industries, construction, medicine, and information and communication technologies sectors took part in it.
The forum was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Odilkhon Rustamov, Deputy Chairman of the Small Business Association Muzaffarkhon Musayev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan - Minister of Industry, Energy and Innovations Alexander Sheldyayev, heads of 7 other ministries, and Director of the Alga Special Economic Zone Artem Penzin.
The meeting noted that by the end of 2025, the volume of mutual trade between Uzbekistan and Russia reached about 13 billion US dollars, and the number of enterprises with Russian capital in our country exceeded 3 thousand.
Within the framework of the forum, agreements were reached with BashGlobalGrupp LLC on opening the Uzbekistan Trading House in the Eurasia Wholesale and Distribution Center, participation of Uzbek companies in the International Multifunctional Business Complex project, and the sale of non-food products on the basis of the Tolpar technopark. Bashkir enterprises were also invited to operate in the free economic zone aimed at the Afghan market.
During the event, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and Bashkiria on the development of cooperation.
Also, contracts and agreements were signed following the results of B2B negotiations.
