Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A meeting was held at the Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement of Uzbekistan with a delegation from the French Development Agency (AFD) to explore ways to enhance the public procurement system.

The discussions focused primarily on the digitalization of procurement processes, the creation of interactive services, the enhancement of electronic platform functionalities, and the promotion of transparency and openness in public procurement, along with the improvement of monitoring mechanisms.

Additionally, the participants delved into the system for maintaining a registry of untrustworthy suppliers. They exchanged insights regarding the establishment of this registry, its legal framework, and its significance in mitigating risks during public procurement and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

At the conclusion of the talks, both parties agreed to continue examining best practices from around the world, implement modern solutions, develop digital services, and foster practical cooperation and information exchange in the realm of public procurement.
