Trump says he is cancelling strikes on Iran subject to 'rapidly' making deal

Donald Trump has stated that he has called off military strikes on Iran, contingent on the "rapid" negotiation of an agreement with the nation.
On Truth Social, the former US President posted: "I have agreed, for the future benefit of the WORLD and, likewise, the survival of a successful and prosperous Iran, to cancel the attack, subject to being able to rapidly make a DEAL."
This announcement follows reports in US media suggesting Trump may have been contemplating significant new strikes against Iran over the weekend.
Previously, Tehran accused the United States of heightening regional tensions, warning that any regional government collaborating with Washington would be "engulfed by the flames of war."
The US government had previously advised American citizens throughout the Middle East to remain vigilant and prepared for evacuation "should there be escalation" in the area.
