Uzbekistan, Russia Interior Ministries Discuss Expansion of Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Heads of sectoral services led by First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Major General Botir Kudratkhodjayev, and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Police Colonel General Andrey Khrapov, participated in an event organized in Moscow to develop cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, issues of practical cooperation between the two countries in combating crime, ensuring public safety, as well as taking effective measures against transnational crimes, and improving the skills of personnel in these areas were discussed.

The need to further strengthen the exchange of information between the ministries and coordinate operational activities using modern information technologies was noted during the conversation.

At the end of the meeting, which took place in an open and constructive spirit, the parties noted that this event will serve to bring interdepartmental relations to a new level and strengthen mutual trust and solidarity.

After that, the delegation visited the Main Directorates of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in Moscow and St. Petersburg, which are often visited by citizens of Uzbekistan, and exchanged views on issues of protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens and preventing crime, and got acquainted with the activities of the relevant departments.
