Tashkent Metro Expands Modern Fleet with Recent Deliveries

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Tashkent Metro system is actively pursuing the modernization of its rolling stock. On July 20, the capital's metro received three additional contemporary train sets.

This latest delivery follows an earlier acquisition of three new train sets on July 12. With these additions made throughout the current year, the total number of modern rolling stock units now stands at 47.

The Tashkent Metro has also outlined plans to procure another eight four-car train sets, with their expected delivery by the end of 2026.

This ongoing fleet renewal program is strategically designed to elevate the quality and safety of passenger services, decrease the intervals between trains, and systematically replace older-generation carriages with modern rolling stock.

The increased presence of new trains is anticipated to optimize metro operations and significantly enhance the conditions of passenger service.
