New tasks assigned to state language advisors

The Cabinet of Ministers' Resolution No. 437 of August 7, 2026, established additional measures aimed at effectively organizing work in the state language in the country. This document is aimed at ensuring the fulfillment of the tasks specified in the President's Resolution of October 20, 2025.

The resolution states that the position of advisor to the head on issues of spirituality and state language has been introduced in the central offices of state bodies and economic associations at the republican level, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional, city of Tashkent, and district and city khokimiyats.

The activities of advisors are coordinated and methodologically guided by the Department for the Development of the State Language of the Cabinet of Ministers. The advisor is appointed and dismissed by the head of the relevant state body or organization in agreement with the Department. They are accountable to their head and the Department.

The main tasks of the consultants include ensuring compliance with legislative acts on the state language, geographical objects and the spiritual and educational sphere. They will also take measures to ensure compliance with the rules and norms of the state language and conduct linguistic examination of draft regulatory legal acts.

According to the resolution, the heads of the organizations are responsible and personally liable for compliance with the requirements of the legislation on the state language in state bodies and organizations, including maintaining documents in the state language.
