Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – The State Assets Management Agency of Uzbekistan announced that six international and local investors have successfully completed the expression of interest stage to acquire 100% of the state-owned stake in Sherobod Sement Zavodi LLC and 99.55% of the state-owned stake in Shargʻunkoʻmir JSC.
Expressions of interest (EoI) were accepted until 11:59 PM Tashkent time on June 25, 2026. Privatization consultant Alkes Research previously sent investment teasers for the companies to potential strategic and financial investors.
After a thorough review of all applications, all six bidders were deemed compliant with the established requirements for this stage. They will be sent individual letters containing information on the next steps and procedures for the next stage of privatization.
During the next stage, applicants will be required to sign non-disclosure agreements. They will then be granted access to a virtual data room containing financial, legal, and operational information about the companies, as well as analytical materials prepared by a consultant.
Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the companies to familiarize themselves with their operations and management bodies.
Binding offers (BOs) will be accepted by the consultant until 11:59 PM Tashkent time on September 10, 2026.
By this deadline, participants will be required to transfer a security deposit of at least 1% of the amount of the proposed binding price offer through their personal account on the E-auksion electronic trading platform.
The security deposit will be returned to the participants after the completion of the privatization process. For the winning bidder, it will be transferred to the Privatization Fund and applied as part of the purchase price for the companies.
Information about the personal account and bank account details for E-auksion will be provided to participants by a consultant via individual procedural letters.
