Saida Mirziyoyeva Calls for Kindness Toward Animals in Uzbekistan

Saida Mirziyoyeva, the Head of Uzbekistan's Presidential Administration, has urged parents to cultivate a respectful disposition towards animals in their children from a young age. She also took the opportunity to remind the public about the increased penalties for animal cruelty.

Mirziyoyeva highlighted that legislative changes, which came into effect on June 28, have doubled the administrative fines for animal cruelty. Additionally, these violations can now result in administrative arrest for up to 15 days. Repeat offenses carry criminal liability, including potential imprisonment.

According to Mirziyoyeva, these legislative updates are designed not only to penalize offenders but also to strengthen societal values. "The safety of our society directly depends on zero tolerance for violence. Toughening the punishment for animal abuse helps form an environment where respect for any life is an absolute norm," she stated.

She further emphasized that respect for all life originates within the family, stressing that parents should teach children not to harm the vulnerable and to understand that genuine strength is never demonstrated through cruelty.

Mirziyoyeva's message was accompanied by a video showcasing Yalpiz and Darkhan, the furry "employees" of the Presidential Administration.
