Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — During a business trip to the Republic of India, Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Industries, met with Ramesh Juneja, Chairman of one of the country's leading pharmaceutical companies - Mankind Pharma.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the prospects for implementing investment projects in Uzbekistan, expanding the production of modern medicines, establishing cooperation in the field of research and innovative development (R&D), as well as technology transfer and the organization of high-value-added production in the pharmaceutical industry.
The meeting included a presentation of the pharmaceutical cluster "BioPharma City", detailed information about its capabilities, favorable conditions created for foreign investors, as well as tax and customs privileges provided for the implementation of investment projects.
The management of Mankind Pharma highly appreciated the opportunities created for the development of the pharmaceutical industry in Uzbekistan and expressed interest in jointly developing specific areas of investment cooperation and implementing promising projects.
