Manchester City interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Enso Fernandes

England's Manchester City are considering a move for Chelsea midfielder Enso Fernandes, according to a report from journalist Gianluca Di Marzio on their official website. City are looking to strengthen their midfield.

The source said City are interested in the transfer as Rodri is expected to leave the club. The club is currently in final talks with Barcelona over a deal for Rodri.

Coach Enso Maresca is also keen on Fernandes. They previously worked together at Chelsea. However, the deal is unlikely to materialise, as the London club are not keen on letting Fernandes leave, who is one of their key players.

For information, Enso Fernandes has been playing for Chelsea since January 2023. The midfielder's current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2032. According to the Transfermarkt portal, the player's current market value is 100 million euros.
