Key Tashkent thoroughfares will be inaccessible to traffic this weekend as the second stage of resurfacing operations commences on Mustaqillik Avenue. Motorists should anticipate closures from the night of July 31 through the night of August 3 and adjust their travel plans accordingly.
The Tashkent City Administration announced that these restrictions will be enforced from 11:00 PM on July 31 until 10:00 PM on August 3, 2026.
During this timeframe, Oqqorgon Street will be shut down from its junction with Mustaqillik Avenue to Osiyo Street. Similarly, Parkent Street will be closed from its intersection with Mustaqillik Avenue to Parkent-2 Street.
Authorities explained that these closures are essential for the safe and effective completion of high-quality paving, the phased enhancement of road infrastructure, and the continuous assurance of traffic safety.
The city administration extended its apologies for any disruption caused and advised drivers to seek alternative routes and pre-plan their journeys.
