Japan deports two Uzbek nationals for immigration violations
Japan deported two Uzbek nationals who had overstayed their short-term visas, the Japanese Embassy in Tashkent said, warning against illegal employment.
Japan's Immigration Services Agency has expelled two citizens of Uzbekistan who were residing in the country without authorization, as announced by the Embassy of Japan in Tashkent.
Both individuals had initially entered Japan on short-term visas but overstayed their validity. Japanese authorities subsequently apprehended them and covered the costs of their deportation.
The embassy issued a reminder to its citizens regarding the severe repercussions for those found to be living or working unlawfully in Japan. These consequences include arrest, detention in an immigration facility, and eventual deportation.
Furthermore, the embassy highlighted that Japanese authorities share information about immigration violators with the Uzbek government, which may lead to additional actions against these individuals upon their return to Uzbekistan.
The diplomatic mission advised citizens to be wary of illicit employment offers and to disregard assurances of unauthorized work prospects in Japan.
The embassy also underscored that seeking refugee status is not a viable method for securing long-term residency or employment rights. Rejected asylum seekers risk detention or deportation, and submitting fraudulent information or employing deceptive tactics during the application process could lead to significant legal penalties.
