In Fergana, the head of the cadastre was exposed for taking $600

It was revealed that the head of one of the district branches of the State Cadastre Chamber in Fergana region received $600 in exchange for ensuring that legal action would not be taken against an illegally built store. A criminal case has been initiated against the official.

The head of one of the district branches of the Cadastre Chamber in Fergana is accused of taking a bribe of $600.

According to reports, a citizen born in 1990 requested the cancellation of the act drawn up by the district department of the Cadastre Agency regarding an illegally built store. In exchange for the cancellation of this act and the absence of legal action against the facility, the head of the branch received $600 from the citizen in early July of this year.

However, the official did not fulfill his promise and later returned $500 to the citizen.

This case was revealed during operational-search activities conducted by officers of the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.

A criminal case has been initiated against the head of the Cadastre Chamber branch in connection with the incident, and preliminary investigative actions are currently underway.
