Humans case in Uzbekistan: Court examines Super App ownership claims

A new session of the Mirabad Interdistrict Civil Court has taken place in the continuing legal action against Humans, the company that drew public attention after millions of sums were debited from the bank cards of its Uzbek customers.

Among the claims being reviewed is one from Maksim Sditanov regarding his ownership of the Humans Super App software. In connection with this, a request was sent to the Ministry of Justice to identify all companies in Uzbekistan utilizing this Super App.

Attorney Sherzod Abdulkasimov stated, "The ministry's reply identified Humans Lab and Humans Trading as entities linked to the Humans Application software. In accordance with the Civil Procedure Code, if a court ruling made during proceedings could impact the rights or interests of third parties, those parties must be included in the case as third parties."

Abdulkasimov further noted that "During the hearing, the court decided to include Humans Lab and Humans Trading as third parties in the proceedings. At the subsequent hearing, the court will investigate the relationship between Humans Lab and Humans Trading and the Super App, the legal basis for their right to use the software, and whether they own or lease it."

According to Abdulkasimov, a legal evaluation of these details will help determine the legitimacy and validity of Maksim Sditanov's claim.

As previously reported, Humans garnered public scrutiny at the close of 2025 due to management conflicts and allegations of millions of sums being withdrawn from bank cards issued to Uzbek clients. Subsequently, in early 2026, an Uzbek investor in the company also initiated legal proceedings against the management, seeking a promised 66% share in return for a $12 million investment.
