Firebird, the region's largest AI data center built on NVIDIA technology, has opened in Armenia.
The Firebird AI factory, the largest complex of its kind in the region, opened in the city of Hrazdan. The project was implemented using NVIDIA accelerated computing and infrastructure solutions from Dell Technologies.
The complex occupies approximately 200,000 square meters. During its initial phase, it utilizes over 6,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, consuming approximately 18 MW of power.
According to Firebird's plans, by the end of 2027, the infrastructure in Armenia will expand to over 70,000 Blackwell and Vera Rubin GPUs, with a total capacity of 300 MW.
This project is positioned as a key node in the computing infrastructure designed to stimulate the development of artificial intelligence in the region. Its capacity is designed for training and deploying AI models, conducting scientific research, engineering modeling, and solving other tasks requiring significant computing resources.
One of Firebird's first major clients was Perplexity, a company specializing in artificial intelligence.
The launch of the center is seen as a significant step in creating a modern AI infrastructure in Armenia and attracting international technology projects.
