Emilian Karas registered as head coach of Pakhtakor in the Champions League

Emilian Karas has been registered as the head coach of Pakhtakor in the Champions League.

Emilian Karas, who has the necessary license in accordance with the licensing requirements for club competitions of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), will participate in official events within the AFC as the head coach of Pakhtakor. He will participate in match reports, press conferences and all official meetings and communications within the Champions League as the head coach of the Tashkent team.

For information, Karas began his coaching career in 2000. Initially, he worked as a player coach and assistant coach at the Moldovan club Dacia, and in 2004-2008 he worked as the head coach of the team. Under his leadership, Dacia won silver and bronze medals of the Moldovan championship, and also reached the final of the country's cup. In 2006, Karas was recognized as the "Coach of the Year" in Moldova.

Later, he worked for Tiraspol and Olimpia (Belsi). Since August 2009, he has worked as an assistant and translator in the staff of Mircea Rednik at the Vladikavkaz club Alania. Since 2010, he has joined the coaching staff of the famous specialist Dan Petrescu and worked as an assistant at the clubs Kuban, Qatar's Al-Arabi and China's Jiangsu Sainty. The experienced specialist has been working for the Tashkent club Pakhtakor since January 2026.

Let us remind you that Pakhtakor will play against Jordan's Al-Hussein in the qualifying round of the Asian Champions League (ACF). This match will be held on August 11 of this year at the Pakhtakor stadium in Tashkent.
