The new head coach of the Kazakhstan national team has been announced

The Kazakhstan national team is expected to appoint a new head coach. Dutch specialist John van Schip has been nominated for this position. According to the official website of the Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF), the parties have reached an agreement on this matter.

The appointment of the coach will become official after it is approved by the KFF executive committee. It is planned to sign a contract with John van Schip after the committee meeting in the coming days.

John van Schip began his coaching career at Ajax. He worked as a head coach at various times at the Amsterdam club, and also coached the Dutch teams Twente and Zwolle, Mexican teams Guadalajara and Australian teams Melbourne City. In 2016, he won the Australian Cup with Melbourne City. At the international level, he managed the national teams of Greece and Armenia.

According to the federation, the coaching staff of the Kazakhstan national team is mainly made up of local specialists. In particular, Nurbol Zhumaskaliev and Yeldos Akhmetov are assistant coaches, Yuri Novikov is the goalkeeper coach, Vadim Borovsky is the physical training coach, and Timur Kusainov is the analyst.
