Control over the rational use of energy resources will be strengthened.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was informed about measures to implement the tasks set for the energy sector.
On July 27 of this year, a videoconference meeting was held under the chairmanship of the head of state on priority issues in the fuel and energy sector. It critically analyzed the management in the sector, the stability of electricity and gas supply in the regions, and work to reduce accidents and energy losses.
In particular, tasks were set to organize work related to electricity and gas supply on a "tumanbay" and "mahallabay" basis, form a balance of energy consumption in the regions, conduct an inventory of networks and equipment, thoroughly prepare for the autumn-winter season, and widely introduce digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
The presentation reviewed the work being carried out by the Ministry of Energy, the Regional Electric Networks Joint-Stock Company and the new leadership of the Uzenergoinspection to organize the implementation of these tasks, as well as future plans.
In particular, a special headquarters for improving electricity and gas supply is currently operating in the Yangiyul district. Open dialogues are being held there with entrepreneurs and residents, and appeals related to outages, power shortages, reduced gas pressure, obtaining technical specifications and debts are being directly studied.
Based on the experience of the Yangiyul district, it is planned to create a model system with this approach in 13 other districts and subsequently introduce it in other regions.
Measures are being strengthened to ensure the legality and transparency of the processes for drawing up technical specifications for connecting business entities to electricity and gas networks, and to prevent corruption.
As part of preparations for the autumn-winter season, work is underway to upgrade problematic networks and equipment, reduce energy losses, take energy efficiency measures, and eliminate the causes of emergency outages. In addition, mechanisms are being developed to deliver tasks to sector employees through an electronic system, monitor their implementation, and evaluate the effectiveness of activities based on specific indicators.
The Ministry of Energy has been tasked with forming a unified and effective management system in the sector, coordinating the activities of sector enterprises, implementing investment projects in a timely manner, and systematically organizing preparations for the autumn-winter season.
"Regional Electric Networks" have been tasked with increasing the stability of local power supply, gradually modernizing infrastructure, reducing emergency outages, and improving the quality of service.
The Uzenergoinspection has been tasked with strengthening control over the rational use of energy resources, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, reducing losses, and accelerating energy audits of large consumers.
Special attention was paid to the issues of preparing neighborhoods with limited access to natural gas supply for the season, involving the private sector in the supply of liquefied gas, and using artificial intelligence capabilities to monitor processes in the sector.
The Head of State instructed officials to implement all measures based on targeted and accurate calculations and to ensure the stable supply of electricity and gas to the population and economic sectors.
