A worker was buried to death by soil while repairing pipes in Navoi. Video

A tragic incident occurred in the Navoi region: a 59-year-old worker died after being trapped under a rock while repairing underground pipelines.

According to Podrobno.uz, the accident occurred on August 7 in the Alisher Navoi mahalla in the Kyzyltepa district. The self-employed man was repairing old pipes when the ground collapsed. He died from his injuries at the scene.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the deceased is survived by four children: a son and three daughters.

The Kyzyltepa district police department is currently investigating the incident.

A similar incident was previously reported in the Almazar district of Tashkent, where a section of a pit collapsed at a hotel construction site, injuring one person. A special commission has been created to determine the cause of the incident.
