A Bloggers' Council was established under the Journalists' Union of Uzbekistan

The Creative Council of Bloggers was established under the Journalists' Union of Uzbekistan. It was headed by journalist and blogger Eldor Asanov. The council's tasks were to unite bloggers, protect their interests, provide legal assistance, and conduct training.

The Creative Council of Bloggers has begun its work under the Journalists' Union of Uzbekistan. This was announced at an event held on August 7.

The chairman of the association, Shukhratjon Oripov, noted that today, bloggers, along with traditional media, are actively participating in shaping public opinion and are quickly disseminating information.

According to him, the council aims to unite bloggers, create a platform for their dialogue with state and other structures, as well as help improve their professional skills.

Shukhratjon Oripov noted that the association should protect their interests, in particular, advise and provide legal assistance in cases of problems, threats and pressure in obtaining information.

Linguist, journalist and blogger Eldor Asanov was elected chairman of the council.

It is planned to hold seminars and trainings for bloggers, courses on media literacy, improving legal and ethical knowledge, and teaching digital security.

The Journalists' Union called the project one of the steps towards "creating responsible content in the media space, supporting the professional development of industry representatives, and creating a space for open and constructive dialogue."
