The first ladies of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan visited the "Oxun Guzar" exhibition hall in Tashkent. This was reported on Ziroat Mirziyoyeva's Telegram channel.
The venue showcased products from local brands that continue the traditions of Uzbek craftsmanship in a modern style.
The high-ranking guests viewed the works of local masters and designers that reflect national patterns, centuries-old craft traditions, and the cultural values of the Uzbek people.
The most vivid customs and traditions of Uzbekistan were demonstrated as part of the cultural program. Special attention was paid to the topic of starting a family, which is one of the most important stages in a person's life.
The Azerbaijani guests were shown the customs of preparing the bride's sarpo and sewing the sozana, wedding ceremonies, escorting the bride to the groom's house, "kelin salom", "beshik toyi", as well as traditional mother-in-law's allasi.
"The cultural program also highlighted the common aspects in the customs and values of the fraternal peoples of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. Family, respect for elders, raising children, hospitality, and preserving national traditions play an important role in the lives of both peoples," the report says.
