Weather, football, and taxes. What residents of Uzbekistan searched for most often on Google over the past week
Checking the weather forecast, following football, and resolving tax issues — these were the topics of greatest interest to residents of Uzbekistan over the past seven days. In Google Trends, the query "weather" took first place with more than 100,000 searches, while football stood out particularly among individual topics.
According to Google Trends data as of October 5, 95 queries gained popularity in the country over the week. Weather appears on this list more than once: the query "weather tomorrow" exceeded the 50,000 search mark several times. Users searched for the forecast for Tashkent, and entered queries in English ("weather") and Turkish ("hava durumu"). Separately, "cold wave" appears in the list with more than 2,000 searches.
Football occupies 34 positions on the list. Four national team matches exceeded the level of 10,000 queries each: "Portugal – Norway", "Spain – Czech Republic", "Croatia – England", and "Denmark – Portugal".
Another six matches gathered more than 5,000 queries: "Argentina – Burkina Faso", "Argentina – Bolivia", "France – Italy", "Belgium – France", "Australia – Brazil", and the youth national teams match "China U-23 – Uzbekistan U-23".
Among football players, residents of Uzbekistan searched for Lamine Yamal, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Erling Haaland, and Raphinha.
The second large group consisted of queries related to money and utility services. The queries "tax", "pension fund", and "gas" received more than 5,000 searches each. The list also includes car loan, bank, pension, unemployment, self-employment, and exchange rate.
"Teacher's Day" gathered more than 5,000 queries, and "teacher" — more than 2,000.
Two stand out among technological queries. ChatGPT gathered more than 10,000 searches and became the only query at this level not related to weather or football. Gemini AI gathered more than a thousand.
Other trends include "Anatoly Kashpirovsky" and "meat" (more than 5,000 searches each), "visa", "wedding", "motorcycle", and "arrest" (more than 1,000 each), "extortion" (more than 500), and "fraud" (more than 100).
