Horses have been relocated from an equestrian center near Paris as the wildfire in Fontainebleau continues to spread.
Firefighters have been working tirelessly to control the fire over the past two days, with officials labeling it as "virulent" and of "exceptional scale."
Interior Minister Laurent Nunez suggested that the fire might have been intentionally ignited, as officials reported that the blaze has consumed 800 hectares in the forest located approximately 40 miles (60 km) southeast of Paris.
The Paris region is currently experiencing its third heatwave of the year during a summer marked by record-breaking temperatures in several European countries.
