Wallet in Telegram has rebranded as Walt, an all-in-one crypto app complementing Telegram’s Gram Wallet for 1 billion users

Wallet in Telegram announced today that it is changing its name to Walt. The rebrand reflects the product’s shift from a basic wallet into a full-scale, all-in-one crypto platform, and signals the next stage of its roadmap spanning AI-powered trading, crypto cards, multi-chain assets and payments. The change comes as Telegram rolls out its native Gram wallet, which will soon be available to all Telegram users. Together, the two launches mark an important new chapter for the Telegram ecosystem, adding two separate products to its financial layer.

Together, the two products represent a shared goal of making crypto accessible directly inside Telegram. As part of that vision, Walt also offers the infrastructure that allows Telegram users to top up their Gram wallet directly from Walt.

Walt is designed for mainstream crypto users within the Telegram ecosystem. Its features extend beyond Telegram’s own capabilities and offer access to more advanced crypto tools inside a familiar messaging interface.

The first parts of the roadmap are already emerging, with future expansions into AI-assisted trading and a phased rollout of crypto cards. These products will be rolled out through dedicated launches as they become available.

As Telegram’s financial ecosystem continues to develop, Walt’s role is to be the platform that grows with it.
