**Violence in the West Bank**

In the Israeli-occupied West Bank, attacks by Jewish settlers against Palestinians continue unabated. Reuters, citing witnesses, reports that in a village north of Ramallah, more than 100 settlers prevented a Palestinian family from returning to their home and clashed with the Israeli military.

Two houses belonging to the Tubasi family had been occupied by settlers several weeks ago. Since then, the family has been living in another part of the village. On Monday evening, the Israeli army agreed to escort the family to their home and protect them from the settlers. However, witnesses said that about 10 minutes after the family entered the house, a group of settlers stormed in. According to an Israeli army statement, they set fire to the houses, blocked roads, and threw stones at the military. As a result, three officers were injured.

"Due to the violence, the mission to return the family to their home was not completed," the army statement said. The military stated that two settlers were arrested and an investigation has been launched.

One of the Palestinian homeowners told Reuters that his house was destroyed beyond recognition: doors, windows, floors, and stairs were broken. The walls of the house were blackened by smoke from tires burned by the settlers.

On Tuesday, settlers also set fire to several cars in the West Bank village of Al-Mughayyir.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the violence and called for those responsible to be held accountable. However, Israeli and Palestinian human rights activists say that settlers are rarely punished for violence.

Amid growing concerns over artificial intelligence safety in the US, US President Donald Trump met with tech company executives at the White House on Tuesday. He said the companies have agreed to implement voluntary standards for artificial intelligence.

According to the text of the agreement published by Trump on his social network, the companies will cooperate with independent auditors to verify that artificial intelligence systems are working as intended by the developers. They will also work to ensure that their tools do not breach technical systems in unintended ways.
