Violations in state procurement worth 9.3 billion soums revealed
The Anti-Corruption Agency has identified violations of the law in state procurement worth more than 9.3 billion soums. In particular, state procurement worth 1.74 billion soums was carried out illegally by the Directorate for the Operation of Buildings and Construction and Repair Works, 1.6 billion soums by the Bekabad Food Complex, and 1.55 billion soums by the Uchkurgan District Medical Association.

More than 9.3 billion soums of violations were identified in public procurement, the Anti-Corruption Agency reported.
As a result of inspections conducted by the agency, violations were noted in the procurement of the following organizations:
* On behalf of the "Directorate for the Use of Buildings and Construction and Repair Works" - 1.74 billion soums;
* On behalf of "Bekobod Catering Combine" LLC - 1.6 billion soums;
* On behalf of the Uchkurgan District Medical Association - 1.55 billion soums;
* On behalf of the Uchkurgan District State Boarding School Specialized in Volleyball Sports - 1.43 billion soums;
* On behalf of the Urgench City Medical Association - 824 million soums;
* On behalf of the Surkhandarya Regional Children's Multidisciplinary Medical Center - 790.5 million soums;
* By order of the Piskent district khokimiyat – 700 million soums;
* By order of the Yangibazar district Department of Preschool and School Education – 241.5 million soums;
* By order of the Navoi city improvement department – 238.5 million soums;
* By order of the Yangibazar district Department of Preschool and School Education – 202.9 million soums.
In this state procurement, violations of the law and restrictions on competition between participants were allowed during the evaluation process, contrary to the requirements of the legislation.
The agency’s report states that “The agency’s submissions regarding the identified violations led to the cancellation of the procurement commission’s protocols on determining the winner, preventing the illegal conduct of state procurement. "The documents collected during the study and analysis were sent to law enforcement agencies for legal action."
