Vice‑President Zhu Huanli Heads Yellow River Conservancy Technical University Delegation on Visit to Uzbekistan

From August 4 to 7, Zhu Huanli, Vice‑President of Yellow River Conservancy Technical University, led a delegation on an educational exchange trip to Uzbekistan. During the visit, the delegation toured partner universities and Chinese‑funded enterprises to push forward major tasks such as the development of the Dahe Workshop and the training of internationally oriented talent. Officials and staff from the Foreign Liaison and Cooperation Office, the School of Hydraulic Engineering, the School of Electrical Engineering and other units took part in the visit.

At Tashkent State Agrarian University, Zhu Huanli and his delegation met with Abduraziz Abduvasikov, Vice‑President of the university, and other relevant officials. Zhu Huanli gave a detailed overview of Yellow River Conservancy Technical University’s history, development achievements and international cooperation. He said he hoped both sides would make use of their respective strengths to jointly support talent cultivation in water conservancy and agriculture in Central Asia. The two sides then held in‑depth discussions on joint scientific research, faculty and student exchanges, talent training and other topics, reached cooperation consensus and signed a memorandum of inter‑university cooperation.

At Tashkent KIMYO International University, Ulugbek Vasilkov, Vice‑President of the university, and relevant officials met with Zhu Huanli’s delegation. In light of local needs for new‑energy development and the digital transformation of higher education institutions, Zhu Huanli proposed using the joint construction of the Dahe Workshop as a platform to promote new‑energy science and technology innovation and the training of interdisciplinary talent. Afterwards, the two sides completed the detailed rules for the joint construction of the Dahe Workshop, signed a co‑construction agreement and unveiled the plaque for the workshop. At the same time, a launch ceremony was held for jointly developed “AI + New Media” courses.

At China Energy Construction (Gezhouba) Samarkand Cement Co., Ltd., He Peng, Executive Deputy General Manager of the company, warmly received Zhu Huanli and his delegation. The two sides exchanged views in depth on overseas skilled‑personnel training and reached cooperation intentions involving customized training for enterprise employees and the joint establishment of overseas internship and employment bases.

In recent years, Yellow River Conservancy Technical University has been deeply involved in international cooperation with Central Asia. It regularly offers skills training for teachers and students from Central Asian universities and has created the distinctive cultural exchange brand “Exploring the Central Plains, Savouring the Yellow River” for Chinese‑foreign exchanges. Going forward, the university will fully turn the results of this visit into practice and support the high‑quality development of China’s Belt and Road Initiative through high‑level international educational cooperation.
