Veolia Energy explained the reasons for autumn hot water outages in the capital

Veolia Energy Tashkent has explained why hot water is shut off in the capital for 5 days every autumn.

The main reason for carrying out such work is the high wear and tear of Tashkent's heating networks and underground utilities, most of which were built decades ago. It is impossible to completely replace the entire infrastructure in one season, so the main task of specialists is to keep the system in working order and prevent accidents in winter.

During the 5-day outage, specialists conduct hydraulic tests of the mains under increased pressure to identify weak areas in advance before the onset of frosts. In addition, full maintenance of boiler equipment is performed, including shutting down, cleaning, and replacing parts of boilers and pumps, as well as adjusting the heat supply system to the upper floors.

The company emphasized that 5 days is the minimum necessary period to drain water from kilometers of networks, carry out repairs, then fill the system and bring it to operating mode. Veolia Energy Tashkent also noted that infrastructure modernization is being carried out gradually, and the current work helps reduce the risk of utility accidents in winter, and thanked residents for their understanding.
