Uzmetkombinat and MCC CERI agreed to cooperate

Uzmetkombinat and MCC CERI Sign Partnership Agreement.

Uzmetkombinat Joint Stock Company and the Chinese company MCC CERI signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation. This document is aimed at developing large-scale metallurgical projects, strengthening the company's raw material base, and implementing advanced engineering solutions. The signing took place on August 9 in Beijing following negotiations between Uzmetkombinat representatives and MCC CERI management, according to Uzmetkombinat JSC.

The Uzbek company's delegation was led by Chairman of the Board Bakhodir Abdullayev. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to China Farkhod Arziev also attended the meeting.

During the discussions, the parties explored potential cooperation in the following areas: the development of the Tebinbulak iron ore deposit, the construction of a modern blast furnace metallurgical complex, and the development of the Temirkan deposit.

Particular attention was paid to engineering work at the pre-project stage, geological surveys, the implementation of innovative technologies, and the development of production infrastructure.

The signed memorandum paves the way for the practical implementation of large-scale projects aimed at increasing Uzmetkombinat's production capacity, strengthening its raw material base, and implementing modern engineering solutions.

MCC CERI is part of the Metallurgical Corporation of China and specializes in providing engineering solutions in the metallurgical, mining, and heavy industries. According to Uzmetkombinat, the company has nearly 70 years of experience and is actively involved in the development of comprehensive engineering solutions and the design of large industrial facilities.

During the negotiations, the parties also discussed the further expansion of industrial and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.
