Uzmetkombinat and CSCES International held talks on the construction of a 150 MW thermal power plant
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – On August 12, talks were held in Beijing between Uzmetkombinat and the Chinese company CSCES International. Initiatives to strengthen the Uzbek company's energy base were discussed. Specifically, the construction of a 150 MW thermal power plant (TPP) and the implementation of a BESS energy storage system were discussed, according to Uzmetkombinat.
The Uzbek delegation was led by Bakhodir Abdullayev, Chairman of the Board. Also present at the meeting was Farkhod Arziev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to China.
The key issue on the agenda was the construction of a modern 150 MW thermal power plant (TPP) on the premises of Uzmetkombinat. The Chinese side presented its proposals for implementing this project.
Furthermore, CSCES International offered its services for the supply, installation, and commissioning of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) designed for the enterprise's needs.
Meeting participants discussed in detail the technical and economic aspects of the projects, the potential for using advanced technologies, ways to improve energy efficiency, and the prospects for a long-term investment partnership.
The BESS system is designed to accumulate electricity, ensure its subsequent supply to the grid, and optimize the management of the enterprise's energy loads. The construction of the thermal power plant, in turn, is considered part of the strategy to ensure an uninterrupted power supply for Uzmetkombinat's production facilities.
CSCES International specializes in industrial and energy infrastructure projects, the implementation of engineering solutions, and the introduction of energy technologies.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further study the proposals presented, coordinate technical and economic parameters, and continue the dialogue on the implementation of energy projects.
