Uzbek residents warned of strong winds and dust storms

Winds up to 13-18 meters per second are forecast for the afternoon of August 14 in some regions of Uzbekistan. In some places, wind gusts may be accompanied by dust storms.

According to Uzhydromet, worsening weather conditions are expected in some areas of Karakalpakstan, Bukhara, Navoi, Kashkadarya, Samarkand, and Tashkent regions.

In Tashkent, wind speeds may reach 11-13 meters per second in some places. Dust storms are also possible in some areas of the capital.

Residents are advised to consider weather conditions when planning their travels, stay away from lightweight structures and other objects that could be damaged by strong winds, and be prepared for possible reduced visibility.
