Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) –

Uzbekneftegaz JSC and the Chinese corporation Sinopec held talks to expand their partnership in geological exploration, deep-well drilling, and the implementation of advanced oil refining methods, according to Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

Uzbekneftegaz Chairman of the Board Abdugani Sanginov met with a Sinopec delegation led by Fan Xiangnan, the company's chief representative for Russia and Central Asia.

One of the central topics of discussion was the development of promising hydrocarbon deposits discovered in the Ustyurt region during recent geological exploration. The development of these deposits involves drilling wells to depths of 5,500–6,000 meters under conditions of elevated reservoir pressure and high temperatures.

Uzbekneftegaz invited Sinopec to present modern technological solutions and commercial proposals for this work.

The parties also discussed joint geological exploration and development of new promising areas. According to Uzbekneftegaz, the volume of geological exploration work this year has almost tripled compared to the previous year. The meeting participants considered the possibility of organizing joint exploration work at promising areas and subsequent field development.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of modern technologies in oil refining. Furthermore, the parties expressed interest in collaborating with research institutes within Sinopec and agreed to explore opportunities for collaboration in this area.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in expanding cooperation and agreed to continue practical work in the areas discussed.
