Uzbekistan will open a diplomatic mission in Belgrade
Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the decision to open a diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Belgrade prior to the establishment of a full-fledged embassy.

Uzbekistan has decided to open a separate diplomatic mission in Belgrade even before the establishment of a full-fledged embassy. This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev following talks with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
According to the head of state, Uzbek diplomats will travel to Serbia as early as next week. They will focus on developing bilateral ties, including helping Serbian companies find and establish contacts with partners in Uzbekistan.
"As early as next week, we will send diplomats who will begin providing Serbian companies with comprehensive assistance in developing ties with Uzbek partners," Mirziyoyev said.
The President emphasized that the decision to open the mission was made following his talks with Aleksandar Vučić.
Thus, Uzbekistan's diplomatic presence in Belgrade will be established even before the opening of a full-fledged embassy.
One of the first practical tasks of the dispatched diplomats will be to support business contacts between representatives of the two countries' business communities.
