Uzbekistan will pay 105.4 billion soums in solar subsidies for August
A total of 61,548 Uzbeks participating in the Solar Household program will receive 105.4 billion soums in subsidies for August for electricity they produced with solar panels and supplied to the national grid, according to the State Tax Committee.
The biggest portion went to residents of Bukhara province, with 18.9 billion soums, followed by Khorezm province with 18.3 billion soums and the Republic of Karakalpakstan with 12.4 billion soums.
Recipients can send the funds to a bank card via the Soliq mobile app by selecting "Cashback and Benefits," then "Solar Household," and then "Transfer to card."
Under the program, people who have had solar panels installed at their homes since April 1, 2023, receive a subsidy of 1,000 soums for each kilowatt-hour of excess electricity they feed into the national grid.
Earlier reports said that in the first half of 2026, households received 330.822 billion soums from the state budget for solar power supplied to the grid.
